How do I do this?

  • I want to renovate my home. Where do I start?
  • I'd like to buy this house, but it needs a new kitchen. How much will that cost?
  • My window quote is three times higher than expected… why?
  • I need some creative solutions to improve my space, but I’m on a tight budget. What are my options?
  • I am ready to remodel my bathroom but no one will get back to me!

Do you have questions like these? Are you having a tough time getting answers?
Unfortunately, this is all too common.

Why is home building and renovating so stressful?

Very few professionals in the residential space are tasked solely with guiding homeowners through the construction process, from beginning to end.

In the Commercial space, this is called Construction Management, and outside of high-end residential construction, these services aren’t typically available to the majority of homeowners.
Without these services, people are often left in the dark about how to plan, execute and manage their project. They end up overcharged, stressed-out and forced to settle for less.

This is where we come in.

Our commitment is to save you time, money and stress.

Whether it’s a simple closet or a gut renovation, big or small, we can help.
We work for you. We are your advocate.
From developing a budget to determining if you need an architect or GC; from helping you find quality finishes at reasonable prices to mediating on your behalf; from advising you on a reasonable schedule to most importantly: avoiding costly mistakes.

It all started with a dream, and the crazy decision to make it a reality. My partner Ross and I quit our jobs and bought a huge gut rehab project in Vermont with the ambitions of opening a luxury inn. Thank God for Jess. We were going in blind with everything on the line and she jumped right in. She was fully focused on protecting us in this process, while coaching us on how to get things rolling. We were overwhelmed with the amount of decisions we had to make, and worried about making costly mistakes. She gave us so much confidence, assuring us that we could do this, and that it would be a success.

Jess patiently answered all our questions over the course of a year, walking us through everything from negotiating the inspection report and explaining the cost for those repairs, to reviewing quotes and suggesting changes which saved us tons of money. She explained how to work up a realistic budget, helped us understand what kind of tradespeople we needed, taught us creative ways to find them in our local community, and assisted in getting people to call us back when no one would answer our calls. Then she saved us a bunch more money by taking our design dreams and pointing us toward cost saving solutions we could build ourselves.

Jess made herself available whenever we needed her and stepped back easily when we had it covered. She even worked side by side with us the weekend of our grand opening, helping us run at a million things at once. Her ability to organize was crazy impressive! She worked fast and didn’t waste our time or hers making it really affordable for us to use her services. Our Inn has been sold out since we opened in Sep 2022, and we can’t wait to hire Jess again when we open our next Inn!

For the last three years, my fiancé and I had been contemplating how we could possibly go about the daunting task of doing a complete gut renovation on our only bathroom while still living in the house with 3 dogs. When we reached out to contractors on our own, we either couldn’t get a response, or were told our job was ‘too small’ to take on, or were told it would take months before we’d have a functional bathroom again. We were incredibly discouraged by the time we reached out to Jess for help.

Once Jess was involved the process started moving quickly and smoothly. Her industry connections opened up supplier options that allowed us to find quality and reliable tradesmen, and her guidance made it possible for these vendors to coordinate seamlessly to get our renovation done in record time (in the middle of winter!) and within budget. Jess gave us the tools and tips to make us feel confident that the work was being done correctly and making sure we had zero regrets when our new bathroom was complete.

Jess not only serves as a consultant, (informing clients of decisions they’ll need to make, questions and details they’ll need to work out with their vendors, and identifying difficult aspects of the project before they become problems) but she is also a fierce advocate for her clients. When surprises came up, Jess would immediately be working behind the scenes to troubleshoot creative solutions to keep the project on track time and cost wise.

We are in love with our new bathroom and it could not have been done without her help. She made it possible the vision of our space come to life!

I was lucky enough to work with Jess right in the middle of the pandemic when it was impossible to visit a storefront or purchase anything online that had a realistic timeframe of arrival. I specifically wanted to work with someone who had an eye for modern, clean style that is also amenable for day- to-day living. Jess absolutely went above and beyond what my expectations were.
Besides the utilitarian aspects of her expertise, (being excellent at sizing unique spaces, finding items that expand vs. contract the living space and having strong relationships with suppliers to know what will arrive on time and what will be back ordered for 300 years) Jess is incredibly creative. She magically pulled together a mix of mid to high end products as well as items from IKEA that looked surprisingly resolved once everything came together. I should also mention that our home needed to be toddler and dog friendly. I’m happy to say that almost everything that she selected for us is durable and intact nearly 2 years later.
Another stand-out factor is Jess will incorporate your personality, style and way of living into her execution. She doesn’t push anything that you don’t vibe with, which is greatly appreciated. There were few items I ordered prior to working with Jess that I regretted once moving into our space. Somehow Jess was able to style them to look and feel symbiotic with the house. We have been in our home for two years now and we still get compliments from everyone who visits. We plan to purchase our vacation property soon and I truly hope I get to work with Jess again.
